Cookie Policy

Last updated: May 18, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are, which ones Anssol uses on anssol.com, and how you can manage them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, improve their performance, and provide a better user experience. Cookies set by the site you are visiting are called “first-party cookies”; cookies set by domains other than the site you are visiting are “third-party cookies”.

How we use cookies

We use cookies sparingly. Our approach is to keep the site usable without setting cookies that aren't strictly necessary, and to be transparent about any third-party cookies set by services we embed.

Cookies and similar technologies we use

Strictly necessary (first-party)

These cookies are essential for the Site to function correctly. They are usually set in response to actions you take, such as setting your preferences. You can configure your browser to block these, but parts of the Site may not work as expected.

  • sidebar:state — remembers whether a UI sidebar is collapsed or expanded across page navigations. No personal information; not shared with third parties.

Authentication (first-party, admin users only)

If you sign in to the private admin panel at /admin, Firebase Authentication sets cookies used to keep you signed in. These are not set for ordinary visitors.

Third-party — Google reCAPTCHA v3

When you submit our contact form, we use Google reCAPTCHA v3 to distinguish humans from bots. reCAPTCHA may set cookies (e.g. NID, _GRECAPTCHA) and collect device, browser, and behavioural signals to compute a risk score. This is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. If you do not want reCAPTCHA to load, you can block scripts from google.com in your browser, but the contact form may then not accept submissions.

What we do not use

  • No advertising or marketing cookies. We do not run advertising, retargeting, or attribution pixels on the Site.
  • No third-party analytics cookies. Our page-view counter sends an anonymous event to our own server; it does not set persistent identifiers in your browser.
  • No cross-site tracking cookies.

How to manage cookies

You can control or delete cookies from your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or be alerted before cookies are stored. For instructions, see the help section of your browser. Useful links:
